Deutsche Yachten welcomes postponement of boot Düsseldorf
boot Düsseldorf is not spared from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and postpones its 52nd edition to April 17th to 25th 2021.
For a long time the fair management held on to the target date, but now boot Düsseldorf had to pay tribute to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Instead of the end of January, boot Düsseldorf will now take place from April 17th to 25th. Wolfram Diener, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, explains: “At the moment we cannot estimate with certainty whether a fair in January 2021 can be realised. This is due to the current infection rate, the still difficult travel situation and the existing regulations, according to which fairs cannot take place at the moment”.
The largest stand in Hall 7a, the networking platform of Deutsche Yachten will also be set up on this new date. Claus-Ehlert Meyer, Managing Director of the German Boat and Shipbuilders’ Association and thus also of the Working Group Deutsche Yachten, comments on the development: “First of all, we welcome the decision not to hold the show in January. Given the current infection situation, nobody can predict with any certainty what the situation will be at the originally planned date. Nevertheless, we will have to adapt to the changed conditions. At a digital meeting, which is scheduled for mid December, we will decide on the possible form of a Deutsche Yachten appearance at boot 2021”.
Weite Wege haben sie hinter sich gelegt, die Großen und Schönen in der Halle 6. Noch nie war eine solche Vielzahl an Großyachten zwischen 80 und 96 Fuß auf der boot versammelt. Aus der Karibik oder der Türkei reisten sie zum Beispiel auf Transportschiffen wie der niederländischen Molengraat des Yachttransport-Unternehmens Seven Stars von Rotterdam nach Düsseldorf. Wurden anschließend auf Tiefladern in die Halle 6 transportiert und erstrahlen dort nun in ihrem Glanz. Die Halle 6 ist unverändert das Herzstück des Luxussegments auf der boot. Alles was Rang und Namen in der Super-Yacht-Branche hat, ist hier an Bord und zeigt seine schnittigen Schönheiten. Der passende, exquisite Liegeplatz für die repräsentativen Yachten findet sich dann in einer der exklusiven Superyacht Marinas wie zum Beispiel in Venedig. Auf der Galerie in Halle 6 sind diese auch direkt vor Ort. Die Halle 7a komplettiert das Luxussegment der boot mit der Superyachtshow. Die boot Düsseldorf ist die weltweit größte Boots- und Wassersportmesse und alljährlich im Januar der „In-Treffpunkt“ der gesamten Branche. Rund 1.900 Aussteller aus 71 Ländern zeigen vom 18. bis 26. Januar 2020 ihre interessanten Neuheiten, attraktiven Weiterentwicklungen und maritimen Ausrüstungen. Mehr als 2.100 Journalisten aus fast 50 Ländern aus allen Teilen der Welt sind vor Ort und berichten von der boot. Damit ist der gesamte Markt in Düsseldorf zu Gast und lädt an neun Messetagen zu einer spannenden Reise durch die gesamte Welt des Wassersports in 17 Messehallen auf 230.000 Quadratmetern ein. Mit den Angebotsschwerpunkten Boote und Yachten, Motoren und Motorentechnik, Ausrüstung und Zubehör, Dienstleistungen, Kanus, Kajaks, Kitesurfen, Rudern, Tauchen, Surfen, Wakeboard, Windsurfen, SUP, Angeln, Maritime Kunst, Marinas, Wassersportanlagen sowie Beach Resorts und Charter ist für jeden Wassersportler etwas dabei.
