Deutsche Yachten at most important US show

When the International Boat Show takes place in Fort Lauderdale from October 25 to 29, the mayor of the American coastal metropolis likes to talk about the show having an economic impact on the city as if it were chosen as the site for the Super Bowl.

On site, about an hour’s drive north of Miami, more than 1,300 boats and yachts with a total value of more than three billion US dollars are presented at seven locations. 1000 exhibitors are listed, visitors are expected from the entire American continent and from overseas.

Some members of the working group Deutsche Yachten will be present at the joint stand organized by the Federal Republic of Germany. Meyer Yachts, the yacht division of Meyer Werft, Multiplex, Tilse, Stefan Zucker & Partner, Yachtlite and Turbo-Technik will be exhibiting at position 767 in the Builders Tent at Bahia Mar-Marina. Separately, brokerage house Ocean Independence will present its portfolio and put a brand-new and 31-meter Horizon yacht in front of the stand at the so-called Face Dock (Slip 25).

Claus-Ehlert Meyer, managing director of the German Boat and Shipbuilders Association and thus also of Deutsche Yachten, will be on site as well. He says, “The U.S. market is enormously important for many of our members and has grown in importance. I expect good and interesting contacts for our exhibitors.”

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on all days. Exceptions are the first day (from 12:00) and the last day (until 18:00).
