RS Yachts is a new brand of yachts but with a wealth of experience.

The company was created by an investor who has in the past been deeply involved with Oceanco and Jongert and who now realised his personal vision of the perfect contemporary sailing yacht. The first two yachts, both 19-metre RS 1900, are currently under construction, one of which will be presented at the Cannes Boat Show in September. Larger versions of 22 and 25 metres are currently being developed.

In the very popular segment of 60 to 65 foot yachts, owners are increasingly looking for easily handled yachts without compromising on performance, interior volume and, indeed, luxurious comfort on board. The new RS 1900 entirely satisfies these demands, being suitable for double-handed or even single-handed operation not only under sail but also while docking. On the other hand, impressive performance is generated by a long, effective waterline and a powerful but, utilizing modern systems, easily harnessed rig Strength and safety through high impact resistance of the hull are guaranteed by advanced aluminium construction that also keeps weight in the required dimension. Constructed at Bloemsma, each RS Yacht benefits from the huge expertise of the yard in this specialised field. It is an accolade for RS-Yachts that the second boat has in fact been ordered by the yard’s owner, Jan Hart, for his personal use.

With this high calibre team, the vision of building the best possible yacht to standards approaching nothing less than perfection has become a reality. The RS 1900 can soon be inspected and test sailed both in the Mediterranean and in the Netherlands.

This working group is part of the German Boat and Shipbuilder’s Trade association DBSV (Deutscher Boots- und Schiffbauer-Verband) in which all relevant companies of the German yachting industry are organised.
