NOMEN presents the new platform cleat IV – PURE Stainless and PURE Wood, an innovative solution for bathing platforms and beach clubs on superyachts.
NOMEN, member of Deutsche Yachten, has presented the further development of its platform cleat: the NOMEN Cleat IV – PURE Stainless and PURE Wood. It is specially designed for bathing platforms, beach clubs and movable platforms on large yachts.
The NOMEN cleat IV has been developed to meet the requirements of modern yachts. On moving platforms, such as boat garages or equipment stores that also serve as moorings, the cleat offers an elegant and functional solution. On closed platforms, the cleat disappears flush below deck and allows the door to close smoothly – without any disruptive components protruding above deck level.
Premiere at the METS 2024
The new PURE version was presented for the first time at METS 2024 and is available in two versions:
•PURE Stainless: All main components made of stainless steel.
•PURE Wood: With stainless steel and TESUMO wood components, an innovative and sustainable wood product (www.tesumo.com).
The design of the cover plate, which protects the actual cleat, is deliberately purist and gives the cleat its name. The plate can be customized as desired – with patterns, emblems or coats of arms that meet the owner’s aesthetic requirements.
Integrated and lightweight
The NOMEN platform cleat impresses with numerous well thought-out details:
•Stability and safety: stainless steel springs secure the cleat and cover in the open or closed position. Gravity-induced falling is prevented even when the platform swings.
•Barefoot-friendly: The lid forms a flat surface with the deck in any position, making it safe and comfortable to walk on.
•Lightweight construction: Visible and stressed parts are made of robust stainless steel, while invisible and non-stressed components are made of plastic – a weight-optimized solution that benefits the overall weight of the yacht.
•Elegant assembly: All assembly screws are concealed and lie under an elastic intermediate layer that provides a soft support for the cover.
Thanks to the flexible design of the cover plate, yacht owners can add their own personal touch. This makes the NOMEN cleat IV a perfect symbiosis of function and design that blends harmoniously into any yacht.
