Personal effects, arts and antiques can also be covered. In the event of a claim clients are provided with expert assistance ensuring that the whole process is as efficient and painless as possible. Friendly and straightforward acting staff guide the client through the claim process and use their expertise to liaise between insurers, surveyors and shipyards. With a database from most marinas, shipyards, underwriters and surveyors around the world and a team of investigators to fight theft and spot fraud.

Over 40 years of specialist experience in the field of yachting, a large number of the most diverse experts in the claims department and a network of 35,000 contacts worldwide make this service unique. The difference is noticeable when making a claim: Where other insurance providers only request the submission of the claims report and the current address of the policy holder; that is the point when the customer liaison and support at Pantaenius really gets going. The  claims department has a 24- hour hotline (see page 8), which initiates appropriate action immediately after receiving notification of loss or damage. This could include, for example, the immediate deployment of rescue vessels and surveyors, the contacting of all parties concerned, advising on a repair service and notification of authorities, or even entirely personal help for all those affected. After gathering evidence and advising on how to secure the damaged vessel, further guidance then follows in processing the repair, the recovery of the wreck or even dispute resolution. To ensure that the Pantaenius specialists can help quickly and effectively on any claim, a close relationship with the policy holder is essential.
