Superyacht tenders, high-tech and innovations

For 14 years now, yachtwerft meyer is known for its superior quality, distinguished maritime competency and individual service. Over the past years, the Bremen-based boatyard has successfully evolved from an ambitious newcomer into a reputable, major family business within the worldwide superyacht community. In 2010, the yard continues its growth, always focussing on excellent craftsmanship and individual customer care. Eight new builds have been contracted to be launched by the end of the year, each one of them individually designed and constructed to the highest yard standard.

 

In addition, managing director Jan Meyer and his meanwhile 40 employees have proven themselves a reliable and competent partner when it comes to superyacht equipment. Not only does the yard offer the physical manufacture, but also extensive engineering capabilities including state-of-the-art design and construction. Among the variety of maritime equipment delivered to customers around the globe, are gangways, masts and other superstructure components, deck furniture and even entire pool areas.

 

With their patented integral heating technology “fibretemp”, yachtwerft meyer together with the Fibretech Composites GmbH and the University of Dortmund, have invented a new and highly efficient way of using electrically heated carbon fibre moulds as a tool in composite production. This technique is by far more energy- and thus also cost- efficient than any other method on the market. It poses a whole new approach to mold production and offers significant potential for optimisation in various industries.
