For more than 30 years TILSE Industrie- und Schiffstechnik GmbH has been a leading partner for the Super Yacht Industry. TILSE Industrie- und Schiffstechnik GmbH is the world’s leading supplier of yacht glazing. At present TILSE is providing 23 sailing yachts and 11 motor yachts with complete plane and bent FORMGLAS SPEZIAL® glazing packages including MICROCLEAR® and SOLARDIM® . FORMGLAS SPEZIAL® is a compound security glass which has been developed to meet the special requirements of super yachts and mega yachts. Fabricated with a special resin, the windows are 100% moisture and seawater proof, stable in temperatures exceeding 100 °C and filter dangerous UV radiation.

FORMGLAS SPEZIAL® is type approved by Lloyds Register and ABS. MICROCLEAR® is a heating glass made out of FORMGLAS SPEZIAL® with an inner layer of heating foil. The TIMON® control systems offer an optimum control of the temperature of the glass and thus guarantees highest reliability and a long lifetime. SOLARDIM® allows the transparency of a window to be adjusted to the most convenient state and thus offers maximum privacy. Using the dimmer switch, fingertip control of the atmosphere within your com- LET VISION BECOME REALITY partment or cabin, is achieved without the need for curtains or blinds. A true innovation is SOLARDIM® ECO, which is again made out of FORMGLAS SPEZIAL® but bonded with our special resin.

SOLARDIM® ECO is a thermothropic glass which changes its transparency against the surrounding temperature and hence is used for sun protection offering up to 50 % heat reduction. If a certain temperature is exceeded the window adjusts from transparent to opaque. If the temperature decreases, the window becomes transparent again. This effect is completely independent of any electric energy und thus this is a real ECO product. In addition to the glass products TILSE Industrie- und Schiffstechnik GmbH develops and produces the TIMON® Tank Level Gauging Systems which are used in both yachts and commercial ships.

The systems are both reliable and accurate and have been type approved by Germanischer Lloyd and Lloyds Register. The indicator TIMON® 2012 shows the exact value of the tank contents in digital as well as in percentage as baragraph indication. The tank contents are automatically calculated by the TIMON® 2012 indicator on basis of the density of the medium, the liquid level and the programmed tank curves of each tank. The indicator TIMON® 2012W has an integrated Web-Interface and can easily be surveyed online via the local net together with any other system. The TIMON® transmitter measures the liquid levels of the tanks.

For the application on yachts not only the electric TIMON® transmitters are used but more and more the electro-pneumatic transmitters TIMON® EP 3-17. The TIMON® 122 tank level controller is used for the control of several tanks and as an interface with other systems. Through the integrated Web-Interface the TIMON® 122 controller presents the tank contents with any Web-Browser. Equipment / Propulsion
