Nobiskrug in the Abu Dhabi MAR Group together with Abu Dhabi MAR and CMN

Since its creation in 1905 Nobiskrug has grown into an important ocean shipbuilding yard, having delivered over 700 ships. The yard with around 420 employees now has a turnover of EUR 100 million. The Nobiskrug site extends over an area of 173,000 m², 44,000 m² of which are under cover. Nobiskrug has two dry docks here measuring 151 and 193 metres long respectively, and also manages a 227-metre long dry dock in Kiel. As well as building new yachts Nobiskrug is also active in the fields of structural steel work and ship repairs and alterations, and an important maintenance partner for the German Navy.

Nobiskrug’s latest delivery “SIREN”, a 74-metre megayacht, has just won the “World Superyacht Award 2009”. “SIREN” was created in close cooperation with the designers at Newcruise Yacht Projects & Design in Hamburg, who styled the exterior and interior areas. The prospects for the next few years are looking very favourable. Nobiskrug currently has five megayachts under construction.
