The carefully cultivated work method, which demands nothing less than traditional handicraft, as well as artistic skill and sensitivity in the design have resulted in the creation of agelessly beautiful designs in porcelain since the 18th century.

Nymphenburg has always been a Mecca for the best artists of its time. Each step in its production is performed exclusively by hand, as it has been done without interruption since its foundation in 1747.

Specialists’ knowledge and a wealth of experience have been passed on from generation to generation, thereby ensuring a level of continuity without which highly specialised tasks – for instance the fashioning of products from thousands of individual pieces – could not be dreamt of. We only purchase the most exquisite raw materials, and never source our porcelain mass or colours from outside the manufactory.

Each individual product is made with a specially suited porcelain mass developed in Nymphenburg and colours from the manufactory’s own laboratory to ensure a quality that is unrivalled anywhere in the world.
