New brand of yacht complements the portfolio

Arne Schmidt Yachts, Hamburg, has been operating successfully as a broker in the international yachting business for more than 30 years, its core business being as broker for exquisite new and second-hand sailing and motor yachts. As exclusive sales representative AS Yachts has in its portfolio several renowned new buildings shipyards and manufacturers. These include top-quality models by Classic Coaster, Fleming Motor Yachts up to 75 feet as well as Contest Sailing Yachts up to 70 feet. Now in 2009 the company has also taken over the exclusive agency in Germany for a further superior brand.

 

Motor boat fun in unusual retro-style

The AdmiralsTender with its American lobster boat look is a true eyecatcher that not only stirs the blood of water sport fans. Last year Arne Schmidt Yachts founded an absolutely new business sector. Due to the increased demand for „commercial ships“ the broker’s office has also specialised in activities as agent for research and expedition ships as well as equipment boats and passenger ships both for private and for commercial use. “In this segment there are hardly any suppliers in Germany despite the increasing demand,” Arne Schmidt, founder of the company and managing director of AS Yachts, explains his activities.

Some impressive transfers such as the sale of a 46-metre-long, former supply ship or the brokerage of a former 53-metre-long passenger ship have already been successfully concluded. In particular in the large yacht segment, AS Yachts can boast a wide range of services. The broker offers its customers all services connected with the sale and purchase of new and second-hand yachts as well as accessories and equipment. To achieve this AS Yachts collaborates worldwide with an international network of correspondence brokers and shipyards. Apart from individual consultation and contract drafting as well as the complete handling of sales transactions, Arne Schmidt’s team supports its customers with financing, insurance, surveys, transport, registration and customs clearance and VAT issues.
